Terms & Conditions
Customer Declarations
You declare that
- You are over the legal age of 18 years.
- You are one of the registered owners of the property at the installation address, and your name is on the title deed of the installation address.
- All registered owners have authorised you to enter into this agreement.
- You can claim Small Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) for solar power systems at the installation address.
Small Technical Certificate (STC) or Large scale certificate (LGC)
- If the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) office determines you are not eligible to receive STCs. Therefore GGE cannot accept the STCs as part of payment; you will be liable to pay GGE the value of the STCs, as per the market rates.
- You acknowledge that if you breach any conditions of the STC's incentive regulations, you may be financially liable to the Office of Clean Energy Regulator (CER). If you breach the incentive regulation, you acknowledge that GGE will not be responsible to you.
- If the system is bigger than 100kW, you can claim LGCs, not STCs. GGE will help customers to align with LGC's trading houses. As LGC will be paid to customers directly until 2030, for any fluctuation in LGC market prices, GGE is not liable.
- The customer must fix and negotiate LGC prices with the broker company.
- GGE will not claim LGC on behalf of the customer; it's the customer's duty to align with LGC dealers and clearing houses.
Authority to access the property
- You authorise GGE and its contractors, employees and installers full access to the property at all reasonable times to carry out all work associated with installing your solar power system, including site Inspections.
- Your cooperation is required to enable site inspections or installation at the earliest possible time convenient for GGE.
- Suppose the customer cannot get installation after three weeks of the deposit being paid and the paperwork signing. In that case, GGE has full rights to deliver material to the customer's property or charge storage fees.
Payment
- Payments under this agreement can be made by direct deposit (EFT), cash, bank cheque, debit card, or credit card (for all card payments, there will be a 1.5% Surcharge applied).
- GGE requires a 10% deposit and signed paperwork to accept and book your solar installation.
- You must pay Green Globe Energy (GGE) the balance the same day the solar system installation is commissioned.
- If you don't pay us in full on the day of your installation, then we have a right to file a legal case against you, claiming the outstanding amount, admin fees, legal costs and penalty interest on the due amount. You cannot hold our payment if your Electricity retailer is taking time to make necessary metering changes as per SIR; the grid voltage needs to be changed by your DNSP.
- Title and ownership of the solar power system will be transferred to you upon GGE receiving payment in full from you for the total agreed cost.
Currency
All transactions must be processed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Pricing depends on system size and choice of solar hardware and is calculated after reviewing the roof on your property.
Liabilities & Risks
- The insurance risk of the solar power system if transferred to you once installation has been commissioned. You are responsible for ensuring that your property insurance adequately covers the solar power system.
- GGE accepts no liability or responsibility for your feed-in tariff or electricity buying rates; it's between the customer and their electricity retailer company.
- GGE holds no responsibility for any damage or loss caused to your property by the installer, which the installer's negligence has not caused. Under relevant state and territory laws, all GGE installers and subcontractors got appropriate third-party damage insurance. GGE will work with you and the installer to rectify any damage caused to your property by the installer's negligence.
- GGE holds no responsibility for any damage caused to old and brittle roofing tiles that may be cracked or damaged during installation.
- GGE accepts no responsibility for any additional costs associated with obtaining an upgrade of your existing meter box or installing a new gross or net electricity meter.
- GGE will not be liable for any unexpected costs concerning the removal and handling of asbestos at your property for the solar power system installation.
Guarantee
For GGE to honour ten years workmanship warranty, we will need you to get your system checked and serviced every 24 months. It includes the cleaning of solar panels by a professional. You will need to keep a log of all servicing and be able to show us when you are making workmanship warranty claims.
- Components like panels, inverters, racking, and any electrical balance of the system (BOS), all the warranties and guarantees will be from the manufacturer directly. GGE will hold no responsibility if that company is no more operational in Australia.
- This agreement starts when you accept our offer in this quote, which you can do by receiving the request over the phone or by sending us an email and signing, scanning, and sending the quote to our address by post or email.
Electricity Meter Upgrade
GGE will help customers apply for electricity meter upgrades with DNSP or electricity retailers. GGE will provide all the relevant documents regarding solar power systems to the respective company. It’s between the retailer and customer to arrange the time, date and if any fees are required for meter upgrade.
Install & Delivery
- GGE will work hard with its supplier and installers to timely finish your job. However, GGE is only allowed to finish the job by any deadline.
- In the event of an act of god, supply shortage, pandemic or any such event that is not under GGE control, these can impact installation timings.
- Delays in the installation are not grounds for cancelling this contract, and GGE. is not liable to you for any perceived loss due to such delays.
- If difficulties with site access are encountered that were not notified to GGE at the time of this contract and offered by GGE to the customer, additional costs incurred in ensuring the safety of our installers may be payable by you.
- Before the installation can commence and modifications to your roof take place, you must pay any outstanding solar power system payments. Till such time the goods remain the property of GGE until your payment or finance payment (if applicable) is received in full.
- A homeowner must be present during installation to sign the mandatory declaration assigning the STCs to GGE, as per the Renewable Energy Act (2000). Should the installer arrive on the agreed date and the homeowner is not present, a rescheduling fee of $200.00 will apply, and the installation will be rescheduled.
- If you have any preference regarding panel/inverter placement, you are required to inform the installer before the commencement of installation.
- Upon signing this agreement, any requests for modifications to the material/equipment will incur an admin charge of $200, and a new quote will be provided to you for any changes required.
- For installation, if DNSP finds customers' electrical DB or MSB not compliant according to current standards, GGE holds no responsibility and is not liable to fix your switchboard. It's the customer's responsibility to resolve any electrical switchboard at their own cost.

- Unless otherwise agreed with you, GGE will not provide your personal information to any third parties other than those mentioned above.
- GGE will not sell your personal information under any circumstances.
- You authorise GGE to use any imagery or video material of you or your property for marketing on the GGE website or print publications.
